What We Do: What you should expect from us, and from yourself

The photo on the right is from the 6 week nutrition challenge we just wrapped up last week. Wendy has been active for YEARS. But it wasn't until she surrounded herself with the right people that changes quickly were seen in her body comp and her performance!

The mediocrity of society is not just disappointing due to the immeasurable amount of unfulfilled potential floating around out there (literally suffocating at times). But its saddening because it results from a very very powerful topic that transcends class, race, nationality and any other dividing line we have drawn over time. The deadened eyes of the lion in the zoo, the man screaming to seemingly no one under the freeway, and the 45 year old “suit” share a commonality: No Hope for achieving a better future. 

 

We dream things into reality. We speak them into being. This may becrazy to some but its true. The life you lead is the result of where you truly planned to be (because planning is more than fanciful dreaming). But we also accomplish very little on our own. And just as the right group will empower you to achieve greatness, the wrong group will bury you in misery, or poor health, or subpar work. 

 

What you should expect of us is empowerment to conquer your life. We are either moving forward in life or we are moving back. There is no neutral. Idle would be no way to live anyway but it’s no matter because it does not exist. The coaches and our clients are the group you need to surround yourself with to get back on the path you know to be right for you. 

 

And what you should expect of yourself is to be that source of empowerment for others. Be useful is often said around these parts. Simple and to the point. Wake up and in every interaction be useful to some degree. That will keep you moving forward down the path (even if it does not always seem to). And as you become more and more a source of encouragement you will benefit from the return. It’s physics really, for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. You push good one way it’ll get pushed right back on you! Life is funny like that. 

 

As it relates to the gym, if you are the same general shape, body composition or fitness level that you were a year ago (6 months ago, or even 3 months ago in some cases) then it’s time you move on. Come by and see how we run things and if we are not convenient for you then you will at least be able to identify the characteristics you liked in other potential communities. 

 

As it relates to life, if you put good in, you get good out. It’s a cheesy saying but there’s not much wrong with it. If the people in your life fill you with constructive criticism instead of gossip and insecurity, and they bring joy and a sense of purpose to your life then you have found the team that will carry you down the path. But if you find yourself sulking most of your days, pointing fingers at all that holds you down, and you look for the next flaw in others to chatter about in your text messages then its time to move forward and be better. 

 

I put this in the last post but I believe it gives you a good idea if you are surrounding yourself with the right people who will challenge you to pursue what is possible.

We all have great minds but if we don’t flex them occasionally then they will atrophy like any other muscle in our body. Dream big, be useful, and surround yourself with awesome.
