The Black Wolf Badass on August 12th was Summer Robinson who has been with us since January. She's awful quiet until you get her out of her shell at brunch and she spends her summers (the last two at least) taking care of kids in Zambia.
As if that were not enough, SHE LIVES IN CYPRESS. Like legit Cypress out at Skinner and 290 and she still makes it in to workout more often than not.
Since joining us she has conquered her half marathon and is now ready to take on another one this fall. Her back squat is through the roof, she deadlifts like a boss, and I'm pretty sure she now has a pretty solid 6 pack.

How long have you been at Black Wolf?
How did you end up here?
I met Ben and Lydia through church. One day Ben had a post on Facebook about why girls should do Crossfit and one of the reasons was "so you don't have to have a guy open the jar or bottle for you". I just said it seemed like fun and Lydia replied and found me on Sunday to convince me to go! 😄
What has been the biggest change for you?
For the first time in my life I am actually strong!! 💪🏼 I haven't had a struggle with body image or anything but I have always been scrawny and weak. But now I am way stronger then I'd ever though possible! Even though I haven't struggled with self esteem, I feel so much more confident in myself. And I weigh more then I have in my whole life, but it's awesome!
What is your least favorite movement or exercise?
The dang bikes and slam ball runs are my two least favorite things to do. I know they will be better for me but they are a huge struggle for me.
Why Black Wolf?
The community!!! I literally have 3 boxes within 10 minutes of my house but I love the people at Black Wolf! I love how encouraging everyone is. I love that we do life together outside of the gym (socials). I love the coaches! I love that we can stay late to work on our struggles and the coaches will help us out! I seriously wouldn't want to workout at another place because I love our environment! 😁
